About the BOB Locum Chambers initiative
As part of the new GP Retention Programme in Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West, BOB Locum Chambers is an initiative developed by the NASGP with the BOB Integrated Training Hub, to offer local GP locums the opportunity to work together as small independent groups under a shared administrative and clinical governance structure, to better support NHS GP practices across the area.
Using NASGP’s LocumDeck Chamber platform and supported by a Chamber Manager, chamber members can publish their availability and personal terms to local NHS GP practices, who in turn are able to request and book sessions with them instantly, bypassing traditional time consuming and costly methods of finding and booking locums.
Over and above instantly booking sessions against personal work patterns and pay rates, BOB Locum Chambers offers practices and locums additional benefits including:
- Automated invoicing, pension forms & book-keeping – significantly reduced admin time for practices and GP locums
- Induction and Information Portal - improved speed to evidence competence for GP locums and improved quality of experience for patients
